Community Outreach

Alberta Crisis and Community Outreach is based on old traditions of walking the streets, engaging those in need, and getting to know them in person. We show them they are seen and that many still do care.

Earning the trust of those we serve is a key fundamental aspect of success. You need to build rapport with them and gain their trust.  

Crisis Intervention

Alberta Crisis and Community Outreach knows that many are on the streets due to trauma, substance abuse and mental health we need to be able to recognize when someone is in crisis and to get them the appropriate help they need. 

We will liaise with different agencies to ensure they are not struggling alone. 

Care Packages

Alberta Crisis and Community Outreach provides care packages and items that many of us take for granted such as warm clothing toques, socks, hygien and other important items. This is where donations play a key part in what we do as the number of clients is high. But we strive to work with vendors and busineeses to help with some of the costs. 

Mobile Shelters

Alberta Crisis and Community Outreach is in the process of looking for a specialty care vehicle that will be mobile and act as a temporary shelter during times of extreme conditions when many of the shelters are overburdened. Our mobile shelter will also have other temporary shelters that can be deployed in one area to shelter more of our clients. We will work with the different levels of government from Local to federal to assist in attaining this goal.
